positive impact

In a bid to minimise ‘waste’, Pinstripes & Peonies launched The Second Hand Flower Shop in April 2026, selling bouquets made entirely of flowers repurposed from our weddings, events and installations.

Despite donating 80% of the flowers from our weddings and events to Floral Angels, the team still saw beautiful blooms heading to the compost heap. That inspired us to launch the Second Hand Flower Shop and give those pre-loved stems a second life.

Handmade by our expert florists, the bouquets are available several times a week at our local coffee shop, District, in Nine Elms.

All money raised from the sale of these bouquets is put back into expanding our Gardens for Schools scheme, to employ gardeners, buy tools and equipment, train staff and cover all other elements needed to develop the scheme.

The Second Hand Flower Shop is a not-for-profit initiative. All overheads are covered by Pinstripes & Peonies.

Kindest Thanks.

As a parent and a business owner of a London-centric creative business, I fully believe in the proverb that ‘it takes a village to raise a child’. Looking at where P&P could help directly improve and have an impact in the local area, we saw schools’ green spaces as unloved, unfounded and yet essential.

We hope that the funds raised by the SHFS will help elevate green spaces, horticultural learning, and provide, in our own way, a little patch of green where lives are sometimes surrounded by grey.”
