Gardens for

schools

positive impact

Since 2023, Pinstripes & Peonies have been dedicated to supporting local primary school, Herbert Morrison, which has very limited resources for garden maintenance.  Our goal was to create a vibrant space, bursting with nature for the children to explore.

Previously neglected and lacking resources for maintenance, the garden is now thriving with plants, flowers, and garden props that were once used at our events and installations. Whilst giving back to the community, the space is also being used as an outdoor classroom to educate the students about horticulture, nature, wildlife and wellbeing.

We have successfully donated and created:

Kindest Thanks.

β€œThe garden has become an essential part of our provision for both learning and wellbeing. Many children who struggle to engage indoors find success and confidence in this space, where learning is practical, collaborative and connected to the real world. It supports emotional regulation, encourages teamwork and gives children opportunities to take responsibility and see the results of their efforts over time.

The facilities you’ve provided allow pupils to experience nature directly, develop new skills and build positive relationships. We regularly see improved focus, calmer behaviour and increased engagement following time spent in the garden.

The impact extends to staff as well. The space offers a valuable opportunity to take learning outside, support pupils in different ways and provide moments of calm in busy school days. Your consistent involvement and generosity have made the garden a valued and well-used part of school life, benefiting the whole community.

We’re eternally grateful for all you do; thank you!”

Volunteer days

& Donations

The School Garden initiative takes a lot of people power to maintain and develop, so we welcome volunteers with open arms!

We run volunteer days for corporate companies through Volunteering Matters, as well as volunteer days for our event venues and suppliers throughout the year.

The School Garden initiative requires equipment and materials, and we welcome donations including:

  • Working garden tools and equipment

  • Plants, bulbs and seeds

  • Garden furniture
